Frequently asked questions

Where do you source your coffee?

We source specialty-grade coffees from thoughtful producers and importers who prioritize quality, sustainability, and long-term relationships. Our coffees rotate seasonally based on freshness and availability.

Do you grind coffee?

No. We currently don't grind coffee for customer. A pro-tip is to take the whole bean coffee and use a grinder at your local grocery store!

What brewing methods do you recommend?

Our coffees are versatile and can work great for pour over, drip, espresso, French press, AeroPress, and cold brew. If you subscribe, we can help recommend coffees based on your preferred brewing method.

What roast level do you offer?

We focus primarily on balanced light-to-medium roasts that highlight sweetness, clarity, and origin character rather than heavy roast flavors. Typically our darkest roast is a medium/dark.

How fresh is your coffee?

We typically roast every two to three weeks. This allows us to sell out of our coffee within a short period of time (under a month)

Do you roast your own coffee?

Yes. Slow Street Coffee roasts in small batches in San Francisco to ensure freshness and consistency.

Will I always receive the same coffee?

No. We have a rotating line up of coffee from all around the world. You can specify, your method of brewing, your taste notes that you prefer...etc.

Can I pause or skip a shipment?

Absolutely. We want subscriptions to be flexible and easy to manage.

Is there a discount for subscribers?

Yes. Subscribers receive discounted pricing compared to one-time purchases, with additional value for larger monthly quantities.

How often can I receive coffee?

Monthly subscription is the only option at the moment with ability to increase the amount of pounds per month

Can I customize my subscription?

Yes. You can tell us your brewing method and flavor preferences so we can recommend coffees that fit your taste.

How do subscriptions work?

Choose how many pounds you'd like per month and we'll handle the rest. Subscriptions can be paused, skipped, or canceled anytime.

When will I get my order?

We will work quickly to ship your order as soon as possible. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with further information. Delivery times vary depending on your location.

What is the return policy?

Our goal is for every customer to be totally satisfied with their purchase. If this isn't the case, let us know and we'll do our best to work with you to make it right.

Shipping is calculated based on your location and the items in your order. You will always know the shipping price before you purchase.
